 Steve Grand is Director of Technology at CyberLife and is responsible for setting the long-term research goals for the company. In addition to his own work, he takes on the mentoring role for the company's research scientists and for external researchers sponsored by the company.
Steve leads the pursuit of CyberLife's "2020 Vision" to create human level intelligence in artificial organisms. He writes for various publications, including a regular contribution to IEEE Magazine. He has jointly won a number of software awards and was awarded an honorary research fellowship at Sussex University for his artificial life work. Other than that he has no qualifications worth mentioning, and you should therefore avoid using long words in his presence. His chief interests are in synthetic biology, artificial intelligence, complex dynamics and finding himself a new home.
